چکیده

Abstract Numerous studies have reported that gravity alteration displays a remarkable influence on the biological processes of cancer cells. Therefore, gravity-related experiments become promising method improving knowledge in field biology and may be useful to detect implications for future treatment. Taking this concept further, we used 3D clinostat (3D-C; 10 rpm changing direction) analyse effect short-term exposure simulated microgravity ( s?g ) cisplatin sensitivity drug resistant human ovarian cells SKOV-3. This allowed us investigate whether altered affects susceptibility Our revealed SKOV-3 morphology efficiency. We observed cell shape, presence membrane blebbing lamellipodia as well lack filopodia when had been cultured 3D-C 2 h. Cytotoxicity, death cycle assays showed an increased percentage apoptotic G0/G1 arrest after with comparison static control, non clinorotated Cell proliferation migration were well. suggest conditions affected cellular mechanisms involved resistance, resulting higher chemotherapeutic. The investigation clarification these results crucial step toward our understanding relationship between resistance chemotherapy response gravitational conditions.

Expression of BAF57 in ovarian cancer cells and drug sensitivity

The SMARCE1 (SWI / SNF-related, matrix-associated, and actin-dependent regulator of chromatin, subfamily e, member 1) encodes BAF57 protein. Previously, we reported that BAF57 is a predictive marker of endometrial carcinoma. In this study, we investigated BAF57 expression in ovarian cancer cell lines and their sensitivities to cisplatin, doxorubicin, paclitaxel, and 5-fluorouracil. BAF57 expres...

Sensitivity of Human Leukemic Cells to Carvedilol

Background and Objective: Carvedilol, a non-specific β-blocker, has been used for treatment of hypertension, stroke and congestive heart failure. The therapeutic effects of β blockers in cancer patients have been shown. Carvedilol has considerable anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor and anti-angiogenic properties. In this study, the effects of carvedilol on proliferation of human U937 and Molt-4 leuk...

hVps37A Status affects prognosis and cetuximab sensitivity in ovarian cancer.

PURPOSE Although prognostic and predictive factors in ovarian cancer have been extensively studied for decades, only few have been identified and introduced to clinical practice. Here, we evaluate hVps37A (HCRP1) as a possible novel predictive marker for ovarian cancer. hVps37A was originally described as a member of the membrane-trafficking ESCRT-I complex mediating the internalization and deg...

Cytotoxic and Pro-Apoptotic Effects of Honey Bee Venom and Chrysin on Human Ovarian Cancer Cells

Background: The anti-cancer effects of honey bee venom (BV) and chrysin might open a new window for treatment of chemo-resistant cancers. This study was designed to evaluate cytotoxic and pro-apoptotic effects of BV and chrysin on A2780cp cistplatin- resistant human ovarian cancer cells. Methods: As per the study objectives, A2780cp cells were categorized to 4 groups: 3 experiment groups (treat...

DIFFERENTIATION OF HUMAN OVARIAN FOLLICULAR GRANULOSA CELLS INTO KERATINOCYTES

Background & Aims: Stem cells are undifferentiated cells and are found in different tissues. These cells have capacity of self-renewal and differentiation into other lineages. Granulosa cells (GCs) are the multipotent stem cells. In the present research we evaluated the differentiation potential of GCs into keratinocytes. Material & Methods: GCs were cultured after enzymatic isolation from ova...
